1. Who We Are
Clavo AI is operated by Clavo AI Technologies Pvt Ltd, a company incorporated in India. We provide a software platform that helps employers in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region manage hiring, candidate screening, AI-assisted interviews, and nationalization compliance (including Emiratisation and Saudization).

2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
2.1 Information from our customers (employers)
Account and contact details (name, work email, phone number, job title)
Company information (company name, size, industry, workforce composition)
Billing and payment information
Compliance-related data you enter (workforce nationality figures, quota targets)
2.2 Information about candidates
When employers use our Service to screen and interview candidates, we process candidate personal data on the employer's behalf, including:
Name, contact details, and other information contained in CVs and resumes
Nationality and work-eligibility information (used for nationalization compliance)
Application and pipeline status
Video interview recordings and their transcripts, where AI video interviews are used
Match scores and assessment results generated by the Service

Log data (IP address, browser type, device information)
Usage data (pages viewed, features used, actions taken)

Provide, operate, and maintain the Service

Conduct and transcribe AI-assisted video interviews
Calculate nationalization compliance status and penalty exposure

A note on our AI: Our AI transcribes and summarizes interview and CV content to assist human decision-makers. It does not make final hiring decisions and does not automatically reject candidates. Final hiring decisions are always made by the employer's own team.
How AI Processing Works
We use third-party AI services to transcribe audio, analyze CV text, and generate match scores. Candidate content (such as CV text and interview transcripts) may be processed by these providers solely to deliver the Service. We do not sell candidate data, and we do not use candidate data to train third-party public AI models beyond what is necessary to provide the Service.
Legal Basis and Roles
For candidate data, the employer using our Service is the data controller and Clavo AI acts as a data processor, processing candidate data on the employer's instructions. Employers are responsible for ensuring they have a lawful basis to collect and process candidate data and, where required, for obtaining candidate consent.
For customer (employer) account data, Clavo AI acts as the data controller.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these circumstances:
With service providers who help us operate the Service (e.g., cloud hosting, AI processing, payment processing), under contractual confidentiality obligations
With the employer whose account is processing a given candidate's data
When required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property
In connection with a business transfer (merger, acquisition, or sale of assets)
Data Storage and International Transfers
Our platform infrastructure is currently hosted in India. If you access the Service from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, or elsewhere, your information — including candidate data — may be transferred to, stored, and processed in India and in the locations of our service providers.
We take steps to ensure that any such transfer is subject to appropriate safeguards and that your data is handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Where we process data relating to individuals in the UAE, we aim to handle it consistently with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021).

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember your preferences, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect how the Service functions.
9. Data Retention

Employers control the retention of candidate data within their account. When data is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it.

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, tenant isolation, and server-side handling of credentials. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Request deletion of your information
Object to or restrict certain processing
